ABOUT

The mentor I never had.

The opportunity everyone deserves.

— Mark

The Story

I taught myself to code. No bootcamp. No CS degree. No mentor looking over my shoulder telling me when I was about to make a mistake.

I learned from Stack Overflow answers that were three years out of date. From YouTube tutorials that skipped the hard parts. From documentation that assumed I already knew what I was trying to learn.

I lost work. I made architectural decisions that came back to haunt me. I built things the wrong way because nobody told me there was a right way.

And I wondered: what if there was something that could be the mentor I never had?

That's StateSpine.

What I Believe

Tools should give, not just take.

Most software takes from you. Your money. Your data. Your time learning their complexity. I want StateSpine to give more than it takes. Knowledge. Capability. Confidence. Opportunity.

Intelligence should have opinions.

A tool that just does what you tell it isn't helping you grow. StateSpine pushes back. It challenges bad decisions. It explains why. It's not a yes-machine — it's a partner.

Everyone deserves a shot.

Not everyone can afford expensive tools. Not everyone has access to mentors. But someone building something real shouldn't be held back by their circumstances. If you're serious about building, we'll find a way to help.

Your work is sacred.

The feeling of losing work — code you spent hours on, gone in a crash — is something no one should experience. StateSpine treats your work as sacred. Every keystroke buffered. Every save versioned. You can never lose what you've built.

The Vision

The way we build things is changing. With AI, humans don't need to write every line of code. They need to direct the building process.

StateSpine is built for this new reality. One brain that understands your entire project. One partner that remembers everything. One system that guides you from idea to shipped product.

I call it the last IDE that needs to be built the old way.

Because after this, everything gets built with StateSpine.
